About me

My name is Judit Kormos and I am a Professor of Second Language Acquisition at Lancaster University and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Ljubljana. My research focuses on the psycholinguistic aspects of second language learning and inclusive language education, with particular interests in the effects of dyslexia, and other forms of neurodiversity on language learning and assessment. I have led and contributed to international research projects examining second language writing, reading comprehension, task-based language teaching, language assessment, and inclusive practices in language education. My work has been published in leading international journals and monographs and has informed teacher education and language assessment practices internationally. I have developed award-winning professional development resources on inclusive language teaching. My significant contributions to second language acquisition research have recently been recognized with the Susan Gass Award for Impact in Second Language Acquisition.
